Indoor football scheduling

In this project, we construct schedules for a real-life indoor football competition in Belgium.

Time-relaxed round-robin problem instances with availability constraints

The link in the title above gives access to the problem instances used in the paper "Handling fairness issues in time-relaxed tournaments with availability constraints".

RobinX: an XML-driven classification for round-robin sports timetabling

The purpose of this project is twofold. First, we propose a three-field notation to classify sports timetabling problems. Second, we propose an XML template to store problem instances and their solutions. Although the proposed framework mainly targets round-robin tournaments, it is able to classify many different competitions formats ranging from time-constraint to time-relaxed competitions, both single- and multi-league.

ITC 2021: International Timetabling Competition on Sports Timetabling

Building on the success of the earlier timetabling competitions, the International Timetabling Competition 2021 aims to motivate further research on automated sports timetabling and to learn from these efforts.
